Paul Miché

Piano | Flute | Composition | Music Theory | Music Tech

Paul studied at Bath Spa University, graduating with an Honours Degree in Music and specialising in both composition and performance. Since that time Paul has over 30 years experience in teaching students of all ages up to and including advanced levels

He has successfully prepared numerous students for ABRSM piano examinations. As an experienced performer, accompanist and teacher he also specialises in other genres including jazz in which he teaches keyboard skills including the art of improvisation.

Flute

Paul has over 30 years experience in teaching the flute in numerous schools and privately.  Having been trained by top performers in the classical and jazz worlds, he has a diverse experience of performance and teaching skills that have enabled many to achieve a high standard of musicianship and accomplishment at Grade VIII.

Composition & Theory

Over the last three decades Paul has composed music for concert hall, theatre, church, video, multi-media and recording.  He has inspired and enabled numerous students to develop their creative skills at GCSE and A Level standard as well as enabling young students to develop and craft their song-writing skills. He has also tutored and presented numerous students for ABRSM Theory examinations including Grade 5. 

Music Technology & Production

Paul has taught Music Technology to a range of students in schools as well as Further and Higher Education. His experience includes the preparation of students to BTEC, A Level and Degree standard, both in colleges, university and individually.  In addition to teaching music technology theory he specialises in the use of Logic Pro X  and Sibelius Software and is currently an examiner for Edexcel Exam Board.

Recently Paul and Vicky have produced and released an album of music for piano and strings featuring cellist Fiona Gillett. Entitled ‘Dancing Light’, This is available on all platforms.
