When can pupils return to face-to-face lessons?

We’re currently operating a limit face-to-face lesson system at the moment. We’re monitoring the Governments advice daily for updates and changes to policies that could affect this. In the meant time here is our risk assessment for returning pupils back to face-to-face lessons.

What happens if I miss a lesson?

If you miss a lesson at short notice then the lesson will be charged for. If you are unable to attend with a weeks notice and an alternative time is mutually available then a rearrangement may be possible.

What happens if the teacher is unable to attend the lesson?

If the teacher is sick or unavailable then the lesson will be rearranged or will not be charged.

What is the hourly rate for lessons?

The hourly rate for teachers varies depending on experience. Please enquire for further details. 

Are your teachers DBS checked?

Yes all our teachers have an up to date DBS certificate.

Will my teacher prepare me for music exams?

All of our teachers enter pupils for music exams if that is the chosen route by students. Most use ABRSM and our drum teacher uses Rock School. 

Are all lessons 30 minutes?

We recommend 30 minute lessons for beginners but more advanced students often have longer lessons. 

Are there any opportunities for performance?

We aim to have a couple of concerts each year and these are very informal music sharing opportunities. 

How do you invoice for lessons?

Lessons are paid for in 10 week blocks and are invoiced at the beginning of each 10 weeks. Payment is made at the beginning of each block.

What type of drums does your drum teacher teach?

Jordan teaches for Rock School, Trinity Rock and Pop Exams
